The trading activity on the day-ahead market exhibited mixed results. The average hourly trading volume was reported at 1,582.4 MWh/h, indicating a slowdown in market dynamics.

Total transaction value for April amounted to €115.1 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 7.72% from April 2025’s value of €106.8 million. However, this represents a sharp decline of 22.32% compared to March 2026, which saw transactions valued at €148.1 million. The day-ahead market accounted for 31.66% of the forecasted net consumption for the month, suggesting stable participation relative to overall system demand.

On the intraday market, trading totaled 147,579.2 MWh, representing a significant decline of 29.28% year-on-year and a month-on-month drop of 6.65%. The average price for intraday transactions was reported at €56.18/MWh, which is down by 20.49% from April 2025 and shows a substantial decrease of 36.17% compared to March 2026. This trend indicates a marked reduction in short-term price pressures and increased volatility in intraday trading conditions.
