The Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska has invited bids for a concession to develop and operate the Trusina wind farm near Nevesinje. The project is planned with a capacity of up to 50 MW. It is expected to generate around 160 GWh of electricity annually.
Total investment for the Trusina project is estimated at €66.5 million. The concession initiative was submitted by local company SDL Energy. The tender sets out conditions for the concession award and the obligations of the selected operator.
Grid connection, power sales and concession term
The successful bidder will be responsible for securing grid connection in line with the technical conditions established by the system operator. All electricity produced by the wind farm will be sold on the market. The concession can be granted for a period of up to 50 years from the date the concession agreement is signed.
Concession payments and bid documentation requirements
Financial obligations include a one-off concession fee of approximately €330,000. In addition, there is an ongoing payment of €0.0027 per kilowatt-hour of electricity generated. Applicants are required to show their legal, technical and financial capacity.
Bidders must also confirm they are not subject to bankruptcy or criminal proceedings. A feasibility study demonstrating the economic viability of the proposed wind farm must be submitted as part of the application.
