EPCG has launched a third tender in Montenegro for the design and construction of the planned Otilovići small hydropower plant. The estimated project value is €7mn excluding VAT, or €8.47mn including VAT. The procurement covers the full execution chain, including preparation of the main design, civil works, delivery and installation of electromechanical equipment, and testing and commissioning.

Scope of work and design timeline

The tender includes preparation of the main design as part of the overall delivery process. The main-design phase is allocated six months, excluding formal review. A further six months is envisaged for preparation of the environmental impact assessment, also excluding the approval period.

Construction schedule and handover conditions

Construction is expected to take between 12 and 20 months. EPCG would formally hand the project over to the successful contractor seven days after the building permit is issued. The timeline therefore links formal handover to the permitting step before construction begins.
