During the week of April 7, solar photovoltaic energy production increased across major European markets compared to the previous week. The Iberian Peninsula saw the most significant gains, with Spain up by 17% and Portugal increasing by 10%. The German market recorded the smallest increase, at just 1.0%.

Additionally, both the Italian and French markets reached all-time highs in solar photovoltaic energy production. On April 11, Italy achieved its highest-ever production of 144 GWh, while France set its record on April 8 with 132 GWh.

However, during the week of April 14, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting predicts a reversal of the upward trend, with solar energy production expected to decline in the German, Spanish, and Italian markets.

In contrast, wind energy production decreased in the major European markets during the week of April 7, reversing the gains made in the previous week. Portugal and France saw the largest drops, with declines of 54% and 37%, respectively. Germany and Italy experienced the smallest decreases, at 19% and 16%, respectively.

For the week of April 14, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting forecasts an increase in wind energy production in the Iberian Peninsula and Italy. However, the downward trend will persist in Germany and France, AleaSoft reports.
