Fortis Energy and Inelso Energy Systems plan to invest about €25.5 million in a 30 MW solar project with battery storage in Serbia’s Vojvodina region. The development is described as ready to build. A construction permit is expected within about a month, according to project plans. The battery’s capacity was not specified.
Permitting timeline and expected generation
The project is projected to generate more than 40 GWh a year from the solar plant. The battery would enable part of that output to be sold outside peak solar hours. The development remains at the permitting stage before construction can begin. A construction permit is therefore positioned as the immediate step for moving forward.
Contracting and revenue approach
Enkraft Energy has been selected as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor. Fortis expects revenue from a mix of power purchase agreements and wholesale sales. The project’s permit continues to be the prerequisite before construction starts.
