The Government of the Republic of Srpska (RS) has extended its fuel discount programme until 15 July, allowing consumers and businesses to continue buying fuel at reduced prices. The extension follows a scheme introduced in April, with the measure intended to address cost pressures affecting the energy and transport sectors.
The discount applies to companies, sole proprietors, and private individuals. Eligible buyers receive €0.05 per liter on diesel fuel and unleaded petrol at participating petrol stations. The measure is applied uniformly across eligible fuel retail locations.
Programme timeline and implementation across fuel retailers
The initiative began after a government decision on 1 April. Since then, it has been carried out through a network of fuel retailers across the entity. The programme is structured to provide short-term relief as fuel prices fluctuate.
Official data show that 45 fuel distributors are participating in the scheme. Together, they cover 281 petrol stations. This distribution supports broad availability of discounted fuel across the region.
