Portuguese EDP Renewables (EDPR) has successfully commissioned a 36 MW wind farm in the Boeotia region of central Greece. Located in the Thisvi municipal unit, the Xironomi wind farm operates under a 20-year contract for difference (CfD), which was awarded during 2019 auctions for 33 MW of its total installed capacity.

Although the project was originally set for completion in 2022, its development faced delays.

With the launch of Xironomi, EDPR now operates four wind farms in Greece, with a combined installed capacity of approximately 150 MW. In 2023, the company also inaugurated the 35 MW Erimia wind farm in the Malesina region, which is expected to generate around 71 GWh of electricity annually.
