On September 25, a successful auction for guarantees of origin (GOs) for electricity took place, with the energy market operator HROTE offering a total of 62,172 GOs. The auction consisted of four parallel sessions, focusing on GOs from biogas, biomass, and wind energy, conducted via CROPEX’s IT trading platform.
Here are the details of the sales:
- Wind farms (Commissioned from September 2010 to February 2012): A total of 33,112 GOs were sold for electricity produced in Q2 and July 2024 at a price of €0.57 per GO.
- Wind farms (Commissioned from November 2003): A total of 5,798 GOs were sold for electricity produced in May, June, July, and August 2024 at a price of €0.58 per GO.
- Biomass power plants (Commissioned from September 2011, <5 MW Capacity): A total of 6,004 GOs were sold for electricity produced in Q2 and July 2024 at a price of €0.57 per GO.
- Biogas power plants (Commissioned from April 2012 to September 2018, <3 MW Capacity): A total of 17,258 GOs were sold for electricity produced in Q2 and July 2024 at a price of €0.55 per GO.
This auction reflects a strong market interest in renewable energy guarantees of origin.
