VLA Energy, a renewable energy developer based in Bucharest, is advancing its strategy to enhance energy storage capabilities in Romania with a new 300 MW battery storage project. The facility, which will occupy approximately 20,000 square meters in Arad County, is designed to provide a storage capacity of 1,200 MWh, allowing for up to four hours of operation. This strategic location near a significant high-voltage transmission hub aims to optimize the integration of stored energy into the national electricity grid.
The development phase of this project is set to commence shortly, reflecting VLA Energy’s commitment to expanding its portfolio of standalone battery storage assets across the region.
