Agreements with MORE for solar and wind assets
PPC Renewables has signed agreements with MORE, the renewable energy subsidiary of the Motor Oil Group, to acquire full ownership of a solar project portfolio and operating wind farms in Greece. The transactions’ financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the solar agreement, PPC Renewables will purchase the remaining 51% stakes in 12 companies developing solar projects. The combined capacity of the projects totals 1,175 MW. PPC Renewables already holds minority shares in these assets and will become their sole owner after completion.
Wind farm purchase details and project locations
The second agreement covers the acquisition of six operational wind farms with a total installed capacity of 107.1 MW. The wind facilities are located in Fthiotida, Fokida, and Florina. Across the portfolio, the projects include 26 wind turbines.
Individual project sizes range from 3.5 MW to 43.2 MW. Both transactions remain subject to regulatory approval. The deals are part of PPC’s broader plan to expand its renewable footprint in Greece and neighboring markets.
PPC renewable capacity targets and EBRD financing
PPC aims to increase its installed renewable capacity from 7.2 GW at the end of 2025 to 18.8 GW by 2030. Earlier this year, PPC secured financing of up to €175 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The funding is intended to support renewable energy investments in Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria.
