Croatian telecommunication companies Hrvatski Telekom and Liburana, a wholly owned subsidiary of Professio Energie, have signed a 10-year virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA) for the supply of electricity from renewable sources.
Liburana will develop the Mazin Gracac wind farm, which will generate 50 GWh of electricity annually. Through the vPPA agreement, HT will support the production and delivery of electricity from local renewable sources.
The fixed long-term price and regular supply of energy that will meet a significant portion of the company’s annual electricity needs from renewable sources guarantee the long-term financial stability of electricity prices for HT. The conclusion of the vPPA agreement is also an important milestone in its energy strategy and confirmation of HT’s commitment to responsible and proactive leadership towards a sustainable future, as well as a significant step forward for Croatia’s green energy transition. Professio Energia highlights that this ensures the continuation of the development process of renewable energy projects in Croatia and the region, which is one of their main strategic objectives.
