Production of electricity in Bulgaria in March 2023 decreased by 10%, compared to last month and reached 3,705 GWh, according to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute data. At the same time, electricity consumption decreased by 5% on a monthly basis and amounted to 3,040 GWh.
Natural gas consumption in March amounted to 259 million cubic meters, while its production amounted to 1 million cubic meters.
Compared to March 2022, the production of electricity decreased by 28%, while its consumption also dropped by 11%. Consumption of natural gas decreased by 26 % compared to March 2022, while its production dropped by 50%.
