Bulgargaz, Bulgaria’s state-owned gas supplier, has proposed a higher wholesale natural gas price for July 2026. The expected level is set at around €37.7/MWh, according to the proposal. This would represent a 5.84% increase compared with June.
For reference, the approved gas price for June stood at approximately €35.62/MWh. That figure marked a slight 1% decrease compared with May, before the latest upward revision proposal for July.
KEVR process for finalising the July 2026 wholesale price
The final wholesale gas price for July will be determined by Bulgaria’s Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR). The regulator is scheduled to review the Bulgargaz proposal at the beginning of the month. KEVR is also expected to adjust the level based on current market conditions.
Before issuing its final approval decision, KEVR is expected to hold a public discussion. The process will conclude with the regulator’s determination of the wholesale gas price for July 2026.
