Bulgargaz, the state-owned gas supplier in Bulgaria, has put forward a proposal for a notable increase in wholesale natural gas prices for April 2026. The suggested price stands at approximately 34.27 euros/MWh, marking a 5.12% rise from the estimated March price of 32.6 euros/MWh. This March figure itself reflects a modest increase of 0.9% compared to February.
The proposal is set against a backdrop of fluctuating market conditions and is subject to approval by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR). The final decision regarding the natural gas price will be made on the first day of April 2026, following an assessment of Bulgargaz’s proposal and a public discussion scheduled for late March.
