An agreement on the construction of new gas interconnection between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed by the representatives of Serbian gas company Srbijagas and Gas-Res from the Republic of Srpska (RS).

The new pipeline will allow the connection of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the extension of TurkStream gas pipeline. It will stretch from the border with Serbia, over Bijeljina and Banja Luka to Prijedor. In Serbia, the pipeline will connect to the main TurkStream pipeline at Indjija. The length of the Serbian section is around 90 kilometers, with additional 320 kilometers in the RS. The planned annual capacity of the pipeline is 1.2 billion cubic meters.
