Despite the unprecedented heat, EPCG provides sufficient amounts of electricity for significantly increased consumption. From January 1 to June 30, thanks to professional and responsible operations, EPCG earned 22,4 million euros based on the import/export of electricity.
The tropical wave and the tourist season, which cause increased electricity consumption, do not affect the supply of customers from the “Household” and “Other consumption” categories. Namely, there is enough electricity, and the overhauls of our facilities, planned for this year, motivated proactive production management, so that, if necessary, additional imports are made only when the prices on the market are the lowest to optimize our resources – primarily accumulations.
EPCG disposes of pre-purchased amounts of electricity for the current summer season, which is especially important in situations like the current one, in which there is a dramatic increase in prices, Vijesti reports.
