Commissioning timeline for grid synchronization and fuel readiness
A key commissioning step is scheduled for June, when testing of the connection between the power plant and its associated substation is expected to begin. Network integration will then continue in phases through October as the facility is gradually synchronized with Romania’s electricity grid. Authorities have indicated that gas supply infrastructure must be ready by August.

The government further cited support for regional economic development in Hunedoara County. Once fully completed, the TPP Mintia project is expected to become the largest single-site gas-fired power plant in the European Union.
