Hungarian government decided to award more than 62 billion HUF (260 million euros) of subsidies to 15,200 applicants for the installation of home solar panels and battery storage, so far, the Energy Affairs Ministry said.
The government launched the close to 76 billion HUF funding program in January. Under the scheme, households may apply for up to 5 million HUF in support, covering two-thirds of investment cost.
As applications have been for an average 4 million HUF, the scheme could support more than 18,000 solar panel investments, the ministry said.
