In 2024, the residential natural gas market saw continued growth, with approximately 21,000 new meters installed compared to the previous year. This expansion led to shifts in market share among retail natural gas suppliers.

Zenith, the dominant player in the Greek retail gas market, and Aerio Attikis, the second-largest supplier, retained their top spots. However, Zenith’s residential market share decreased from 47.2% in 2023 to 43.4% in 2024, while Aerio Attikis experienced a slight increase, rising to 27% from 26.9%.

PPC moved up to third place with a residential market share of 6.7%, up from 5.2% the previous year. It overtook Heron, Mytilineos, and Elpedison, all of which also recorded gains. Heron’s share increased from 4.8% to 6.7%, Mytilineos grew from 5.9% to 6.5%, and Elpedison saw a marginal rise from 4.6% to 4.7%.
