Greece: Solar project in Spain

According to Greek Mytilineos Group, the construction of the solar power plant in Spain should start in the first quarter of 2021. Mytilineos Group announced that it has acquired a 50 MW solar project in Spain from German renewables developer Viridi RE.

The statement from the group said that this acquisition represents the first Greek entry into Spain’s renewable energy sector. The future solar power plant will be located near Jaen in southern province of Andalusia. Financial details regarding the transaction were not disclosed.

This acquisition is in line with the group’s renewable energy development strategy, which envisages investments in RES projects both in Greece and abroad.
