Europe: Wind energy production declines, except in Germany: Forecasts predict rebound in mid-August

Supported byClarion Energy

In contrast to solar energy production, wind energy production across major European markets experienced a decline during the week of August 5. The reductions varied significantly, with France seeing a 4.5% decrease and Italy experiencing a sharp 47% drop. Germany stood out as an exception, where wind energy production surged by 82%, breaking a four-week downward trend.

For the upcoming week of August 12, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting predicts a reversal of this downward trend, with wind energy production expected to increase in France, Germany, Italy, and the Iberian Peninsula, AleaSoft reports.
