Wind generation effects and next-week price outlook

AleaSoft Energy Forecasting linked higher electricity prices in most markets to lower wind power generation alongside falling gas prices. In Great Britain and Portugal, stronger electricity demand added upward pressure on prices despite lower gas costs . In Italy, higher wind generation combined with lower demand contributed to the decline in electricity prices .

AleaSoft Energy Forecasting also projected price movements for the week beginning September 28. The forecast points to higher electricity prices across most analyzed European markets . Italy and Great Britain are identified as main exceptions, with prices expected to decline in both markets .
