The strategic significance of the JANAF pipeline has escalated for Hungary and Slovakia, especially as these nations aim to lessen their reliance on Russian crude oil following interruptions in supply through the Druzhba pipeline. In this context, the JANAF corridor is increasingly recognized as a vital alternative for securing non-Russian oil imports.
Slovnaft has emphasized the necessity of conducting a comprehensive technical evaluation of the pipeline under various seasonal and operational scenarios.
