Croatia’s latest guarantees-of-origin sales cleared renewable certificates at around €1.55–€2.06 per GO. The results offer a new market reference for corporate buyers and electricity suppliers seeking renewable-energy attributes. The auctions took place on 27 October through the CROPEX trading platform.
Six parallel sessions covered certificates from wind, biomass and solar generation. HROTE sold the largest lot: 203,752 guarantees of origin from Croatian wind production in the third quarter of 2026, at €1.60 per GO. It also sold 47,377 biomass GOs at €1.61.
Sales by technology and origin
ENNA Next sold 6,791 German wind GOs for generation from June through September at the session’s highest price, €2.06 per GO. The company also sold 6,063 solar GOs at €1.55. A further 997 biomass GOs from ENNA Next cleared at €1.60.
KOER sold 1,271 solar GOs covering September production at €1.56. Total sales across the auctions amounted to 266,252 GOs. Prices for Croatian wind, solar and biomass certificates fell within a relatively narrow range, with only modest premiums between technologies.
Pricing across the GO market
The narrow price range points to liquidity in the renewable-attribute market. German wind certificates, however, cleared materially higher than the Croatian certificates. Origin and buyer preference can therefore still create distinct value within the broader GO market.
