The Croatian liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on the island of Krk has reached a significant milestone, successfully completing its 500th LNG reloading operation from the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to transport trucks.

The project was launched to evaluate the feasibility of LNG reloading and market demand for this service. It has met expectations and continues to develop further.

Since April 2022, terminal users have been able to arrange LNG reloading from the FSRU vessel to transport trucks, a process known as ship-to-truck reload operations. By offering this service, the Krk LNG terminal has set itself apart in the global LNG industry, as LNG Hrvatska is the first operator to perform such a complex LNG reloading procedure directly from an FSRU vessel to trucks.
