CROPEX, which was launched on March 11, 2016, in cooperation with Nord Pool, Europe’s leading electricity exchange, is co-owned by the Croatian electricity transmission system operator (HOPS) and the Croatian electricity market operator (HROTE). The intraday market began in April 2017, and on June 19, 2018, the day-ahead market was successfully coupled with the MRC markets through the Croatian-Slovenian border following a joint project by the Croatian and Slovenian transmission system operators and power exchanges.
