Bulgaria: St Nikola wind farm produced 51 GWh in January

AES Bulgaria said that its majority-owned St. Nikola wind farm increased its electricity production by over 20% in January compared to the previous month, to 51,031 MWh.

In December 2023, wind farm produced 42,290 MWh of green electricity, AES Bulgaria, part of U.S.-based energy conglomerate AES Corporation, said in a press release.

The onshore facility near the town of Kavarna was commissioned in 2010 and is equipped with 52 Vestas turbines of 3 MW each. The minority stake is held by the German company Geo Power.
