Bosnia and Herzegovina: Republic of Srpska allocates €5 million for third phase of eastern gasification project

The Government of the Republic of Srpska (RS) has approved funding for the third phase of the gasification project in the eastern region, allocating approximately 5 million euros for this year.

This phase of the project, which will cover the municipalities of Vlasenica, Sekovici, Milici, and Han Pijesak, has a total estimated cost of 37.8 million euros. It has been included in the RS Public Investment Program for the 2025-2027 period, as part of a unified list of planned projects.

According to a request from Sarajevo Gas in Istocno Sarajevo and in line with agreed financing arrangements, it has been estimated that 5 million euros will be needed for 2025. This funding will also cover a six-month grace period starting from the contract signing date between Sarajevo Gas and the selected contractor.

Recognizing the importance of this project, the Government of the Republic of Srpska has committed to allocating 5 million euros from the 2025 budget. Sarajevo Gas in Istocno Sarajevo will oversee the implementation of the project in accordance with all relevant regulations.
