Bosnia and Herzegovina: HPP Višegrad generates 89.21 GWh in January 2025, up 21.9% from previous month

Hidroelektrane na Drini, a subsidiary of power utility ERS and the operator of the Višegrad hydropower plant, reported that the plant generated 89.21 GWh of electricity in January 2025. This marks a 21.9% increase compared to December 2024, when production stood at 73.18 GWh. However, output was significantly lower than in January 2024, when the plant generated 150.81 GWh.

In 2024, HPP Višegrad produced a total of 733 GWh of electricity, a sharp decline from the 1,224 GWh generated in 2023.

Commissioned in 1989, HPP Višegrad has an installed capacity of 315 MW (3 x 105 MW) and an average annual electricity generation of 1,010 GWh. The plant achieved its record annual production in 2010, reaching 1,283.05 GWh.
