The Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska (RS) Petar Djokic and the Director of local company Etmax Sinisa Maksimovic signed a concession agreement on the construction of Nevesnje solar power plant.
This creates the conditions for the realization of one of the largest projects in the field of solar energy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the wider region. The total installed capacity of the plant will be 500 MW and the estimated investment value is over 450 million euros. When commissioned, the facility will be able to cover the demand of between 250,000 and 300,000 households.
The complex will consist of one 200 MW solar power plant with estimated annual electricity generation of 316 GWh and six smaller power plants with 50 MW capacity each, expected to produce 79 GWh of electricity per year each.
Maksimovic said that the deadline for the completion and commissioning of the plant is six years, of which one year will be spent on project design. Everything related to the preparation and procurement of technical documentation will be completed by the end of the year, while construction works should start in 2024. He added that the company has several financing models available for the construction of the facility.
The one-time concession fee for 200 MW plant is around 900,000 euros and 0.0028 euros/kWh of produced electricity. For each of the smaller ones Etmax will pay one-time fee of 450,000 euros with the same fee for produced electricity.
