Slovenia: Net profit of GEN-I in 2020

In 2020, Slovenian GEN-I Group recorded a consolidated net profit in the amount of 15.4 million euros, which is slightly higher compared to net profit of 15.3 million euros in the previous year. The group’s sales revenues dropped by 4.7 % to 2.1 billion euros in 2020, while its expenditures also dropped by 5.2 % to 2.06 billion euros. Its earning before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 39.7 % in 2020 reaching 32.1 million euros, while its earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased by 18.2 % to 23.4 million euros.

Slovenian state-owned company Gen Energija has 50 % stake in GEN-I, while the other 50 % is owned by its affiliated company GEN-EL, who acquired it from Petrol in 2018 for some 45 million euros.
