Slovenia: Electricity generation reached 1.29 TWh in May

Net electricity production in Slovenia increased by 47% in May compared to previois month, to 1,299 GWh, the statistical office said.

In annual terms, the electricity generation went up by 2%.

The May output of the hydropower plants went up 17% monthly and 6% yearly to 602 GWh.

The output of the thermal power plants in Slovenia totalled 111 GWh in May, down 55% on the year and 21% month-on-month, while nuclear power plant produced 472 GWh of electricity.

In May, Slovenia imported 761 GWh of electricity and exported 1,040 GWh. Exports grew 42% compared to the previous month, while imports decreased 18%.
