The Serbian Government has approved the expropriation of land for a new handover gas station in Horgos, aligning with the project’s Detailed Regulation Plan. The public enterprise Srbijagas has been designated as the beneficiary.

The new station is necessary due to outdated equipment and inadequate measurement methods at the existing facility. Covering over 22 hectares, it will be built next to the current station near the Hungarian border and will primarily serve the TurkStream gas pipeline.

While the capacity of the new facility has not been disclosed, the existing Horgos station operates at 540,000 cubic meters per hour, or about 13 million cubic meters per day.
