Expro, a US-based energy services provider, has secured contracts worth over 10 million dollars for the Neptun Deep gas project in Romania’s Black Sea. The company will act as both a direct contractor and subcontractor to OMV Petrom, delivering specialized services to support offshore operations.
The contracts include Expro’s subsea landing string, SeaCure cementing technology, tubular running services, and Coretrax Advance drilling tools. These technologies will contribute to the development of Romania’s largest offshore natural gas project, a joint venture between OMV Petrom and Romgaz, with each company holding a 50% stake.
This development marks an important step in Expro’s expansion in Romania. The company has recently strengthened its presence in the country by opening a new office in Bucharest, establishing an operational base, and increasing its local workforce. Founded in 1938, Expro employs over 8,000 people and provides energy solutions for exploration and production companies in nearly 60 countries, operating both onshore and offshore.
