The parties in the Core Flow Based Market Coupling project announced that they had decided to postpone the launch of the project planned for April 20, 2022.
A new launch date will be announced as soon as the readiness of all parties is assessed, following co-ordination with other SDAC projects and regulatory bodies, the statement said.
It was previously announced that the Core market connection project will be launched on April 20, 2022, for the delivery of electricity on April 21, 2022.
As part of the CORE project, it is planned to connect CROPEX and HUPX market day ahead, where daily cross-border capacity at the Croatian-Hungarian border will no longer be allocated directly through the JAO platform, but indirectly through the mechanism of connecting electricity exchanges. As part of the implementation of the CORE project, there is a change in the methodology for calculating the available capacity at the Croatian-Slovenian border, where it is also moving to the calculation of capacity by the method of power flows, it was announced in January.
The project parties involved also reported on December 19, 2021, the delay of the Core FB MC, due to external influences that delayed the timely start of the first phase of joint integration testing and technical problems that arose during the first weeks of testing.
The first phase of Joint Regional Testing (FIT) was successfully completed on January 13, 2022. FIT testing, focused on functionality between all systems involved in the FB MC process, showed that the solution is capable of performing the FB MC process.
The next phase of testing (Simulation Integration Testing – SIT) began on January 17, 2022 and lasted until February 2022. SIT testing is focused on testing common operational procedures to prove that the solution is capable of performing everyday operational processes.
