Dutch renewable energy company Photon Energy has secured a contract with Portuguese firm Greenvolt Power to manage a 57 MW solar power plant in Királyegyháza, Hungary.

Situated in the Szentlőrinc district in southern Hungary, the 75-hectare facility will be overseen by Photon Energy’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) division. Under the agreement, the company will provide a full suite of asset management services, including contract administration, owner representation, project oversight, reporting, and technical management.

By entrusting Photon Energy with the plant’s management, Greenvolt Power aims to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen its position in the utility-scale renewable energy sector.

Photon Energy’s O&M division currently manages over 1.1 GW of installed solar capacity across Central and Eastern Europe and Australia, with 400 MW in Hungary alone. The company is also in the process of negotiating multiple new contracts, which it expects to finalize before the end of the year.
