A level 1 incident on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES) was reported at a temporary storage facility for spent fuel rods next to nuclear power plant Paks, said Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority (OAH). The incident, reported by RHK, the company that manages the container, took place on 12 February, when a worker failed to follow protocols while addressing a drop in gas pressure at the facility. According to OAH, the incident had no effect on the environment or on staff.
