Bulgaria’s sole nuclear power plant Kozloduy said that it has successfully reconnected its 1,000 MW unit 6 to the network, following a week-long downtime.

The unit was taken offline for scheduled maintenance on 10 December, after a leak of coolant was detected in the third steam generator. All necessary actions were taken to localize and repair the defects, while conducted checks showed that the unit’s systems and facilities operate normally, meeting safe operation requirements.
