The Serbian Government terminated the ban on natural gas exports which was introduced last au- tumn.

The Government introduced the natural gas export ban in mid-October, to be valid until the end of the month. The decision was made in order to prevent the threat of a critical shortage of natural gas caused by a disruption in the global energy market. However, the ban was extended on several occasions.

Earlier, the Energy Community Secretariat said that it found that such ban constituted a violation of the Energy Community Treaty’s provisions and required termination.
