Preliminary agreement for EUR 870mn hydropower project Srednja Drina signed.

A preliminary agreement, establishing a strategic partnership for the implementation of the EUR 870mn hydropower project Srednja Drina was signed in Banja Luka, ONASA news agency reported. The agreement was signed by representatives of the Serb Republic’s government and Serbia, the directors of the Serb Republic’s main electricity utility Elektoprivreda RS (ERS) and Serbia’s Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), as well as representatives of the Italian company SECI Energia. The Italian company will have a 51% participation in the project, which envisages the construction of three hydropower plants with a total capacity of 320 MW.
