North Macedonia’s fuel supplier OKTA recorded net profit of €34.1 million for January-September 2026, compared with €7.3 million in the same period of 2025. The result was approximately 4.7 times the year-earlier profit, while sales revenue rose 105% to €953 million. OKTA is owned by Greek energy group Hellenic Petroleum.
Sales revenue more than doubled, but expenses also increased: OKTA’s expenses rose 101% year on year to approximately €891 million in the first nine months. The rise in expenses accompanied the expansion in turnover. Revenue growth alone does not show how much came from higher fuel volumes, pricing changes or shifts in the sales mix.
OKTA is a major supplier in North Macedonia’s petroleum products market and has a significant regional commercial presence. Historical figures put its share of North Macedonian fuel needs at around 70% in 2023 and estimate its Kosovo market share at 36% in 2022. Neither figure is a current-year market-share estimate.
The company’s role in fuel supply connects it to regional petroleum logistics, import pricing and wholesale distribution. Balkan oil-product markets are exposed to changes in international product prices, freight and supply routes, as well as working-capital needs. Sustaining profitability will depend on how effectively OKTA manages those pressures alongside its expanded turnover.
OKTA also owns the refinery site in Skopje, North Macedonia. The site has stated installed capacity of 2.5 million tonnes.
