The collaboration is formalized through a cooperation framework that connects North Macedonia’s energy regulator, RKE, with Greece’s RAAEY. In light of a recently adopted Energy Law, North Macedonia’s regulatory body has established multidisciplinary teams composed of engineers, economists, and legal professionals. Their primary objective is to draft secondary legislation that harmonizes domestic regulations with EU directives. This alignment is crucial for linking North Macedonia’s electricity market to regional platforms and ultimately to the larger EU market.
