Montenegrin state-owned power utility EPCG has announced the launch of two identical tenders for the development of main project design studies for the proposed Kapino Polje L1 and Kapino Polje L2 solar power plants, each with a capacity of 4.8 MW. Bidders have until February 11 to submit their proposals, with each contract valued at 24,000 euros. Upon signing the contracts, the studies must be completed within 45 to 60 days.

In December, EPCG revealed plans to expand the Kapino Polje site by adding two more solar power plants: the 11 MW Kapino Polje B1 and the 37 MW Kapino Polje B2.

The estimated investment for the Kapino Polje L1 and L2 plants is 3.5 million euros per plant. Meanwhile, the projected costs for the Kapino Polje B1 and B2 plants are 6.6 million euros and 22.5 million euros, respectively.
