Croatian engineering firm Končar – Elektroindustrija has finalized a significant agreement with two national network operators to construct a new high-voltage substation near Šibenik. This project, valued at €13.7 million, focuses on the development of the 110 kV Razine transformer station. The contract was jointly signed with HEP-ODS, the distribution system operator, and the Croatian transmission system operator (HOPS). Končar will execute the project as a turnkey solution, overseeing all aspects from design through to construction and commissioning.
The infrastructure development will encompass the installation of a new transformer facility along with the necessary 110 kV transmission lines to integrate it into the existing electricity network. Additionally, the project includes constructing access roads to facilitate operational and maintenance activities, ensuring that the substation can be effectively serviced post-completion.
Upon its completion, this new substation is anticipated to enhance the reliability of the regional electricity network. It aims to support ongoing advancements in the surrounding energy infrastructure, which is crucial for meeting growing energy demands and improving service stability in Croatia.
