The Hungarian Government has awarded over 52 million euros in subsidies to 5,100 applicants for the installation of home solar panels and battery storage.
Nearly 17,000 applications have been submitted for the 190 million euros funding program launched by the Government in January, the Ministry of Energy announced. Under the scheme, households may apply for up to 12,700 euros in support, covering two-thirds of investment cost.
The Ministry added that, as applications have been for an average of around 10,000 euros, the scheme could support 19,000 solar panel investments.
