Bulgaria’s Kozloduy nuclear power plant announced the successful completion of its scheduled annual maintenance for Unit 6. After a thorough inspection by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency, the unit was reconnected to the national electricity grid at 10:00 AM on 23 November.
Unit 6 had been offline since 19 October for planned maintenance, which was expected to continue until the end of November. During this maintenance period, critical repairs and upgrades were carried out to ensure the unit’s safe and reliable operation. All work was conducted in compliance with licensing requirements and technological regulations for safe operation.
In addition, the reactor at Unit 6 was refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for its 30th fuel cycle. A series of necessary tests and inspections were performed, confirming the functionality and reliability of the plant’s systems.
