Electricity production in Bulgaria in September decreased by 4% compared to August, to 3,149 GWh, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. In the same period, electricity consumption decreased by 11%,to 2,306 GWh.
Consumption of natural gas in September 2023 increased by 7%, to 179 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 1 million cubic meters.
Compared to September 2022, production of electricity decreased by 1%, while consumption dropped by 1%.
Consumption of natural gas increased by 29% compared to September 2022.
