Minister of Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, stated that United Arab Emirates are interested for construction of HPP “Djerdap 3”.
This HPP can satisfy Serbian and regional needs- she said and added that Emirates are also interested in underground gas warehouse “Habej” and terminal in Pancevo.
The first Deputy President of Serbian Government, Aleksandar Vucic, signed an agreement for cooperation in energy area during the last visit to Canada. Agreement referred especially to the construction of HPP “Bistrica” which is the most important project- Mihajlovic said.
There are small HPPs that Ministry announced a tender for and got more than 1000 applications for 317 locations.
“I expect these small HPPs on network from 2015 to 2016”, Mihajlovic stressed in an interview for Kurir.
She said that she is not satisfied with efficiency of EPS’s work because thing need to be done much faster and she underlined that anti-corruption team is working really hard on subjects of EPS, Srbijagas and Institute for Environmental Protection and Hydro Meteorological Institute.
“The report will be presented soon. All results will be shown to citizens and delivered to prosecution. Serbia needs to establish order, criterions and system again”, Minister emphasized.
