In April 2025, a total of 499,795.4 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market on the Serbian energy exchange SEEPEX, representing a 1.9% decrease compared to the previous month, with an average of 16,659.9 MWh/day. The traded volume in April 2025 was 5.9% higher than the same month last year.
The average daily base price on the day-ahead market in April amounted to 86.6 euros/MWh, marking a 14.7% decrease compared to March, while the average euro-peak price reached 67.05 euros/MWh, a 26.6% decrease.
On the intraday market, a total of 5,852.5 MWh was traded in April, with an average price of 67.55 euros/MWh.
SEEPEX was officially launched on 17 February 2016, with a traded volume of 1,925 MWh. It is jointly owned by Serbian electricity transmission system operator EMS and European Power Exchange (EPEX SPOT), with the goal of supporting the development of a competitive, transparent, and reliable electricity market in Serbia and southeastern Europe, and to significantly increase the trading volumes of electricity in the region. It launched an intraday market in July 2023.
