Romania, Unit 1 of NPP Cernavoda back online after maintenance

Romanian electricity producer Nuclearelectrica announced that the works related to the planned maintenance of unit 1 of its nuclear power plant Cernavoda were completed, and the unit was connected to the national electricity system on 28 June, reaching nominal power on 29 June.

Unit 1 entered the planned outage on 8 May in order to complete the planned maintenance works, performed once every two years for each unit.

During the planned outage, activities related to the following programs were carried out: preventive maintenance program, corrective maintenance program, inspections program, mandatory testing program during planned outages, project changes implementation program.
